18 months and talking

Casey's language has exploded within the past month. It is so neat (and funny) to listen to him try out new words... which he is so eager to do! His newest word is banana which comes out in the form of "nanana" with some sort of weird tongue roll thing.

So much to discover

Casey enjoyed another fun evening in the park.

This is just one picture from a series of laughing photos... you get the idea.

Ta-da...

I said TA-DA!

So the story behind this photo... as we were leaving the park Casey saw a man getting ready for a run by doing push-ups in one of the parking spaces. As the man left Casey promptly walked over and began to do his own push-ups... too cute.

Bye-bye park. Until we meet again...

Swing Dancing!

So these two clips don't really have anything to do with Casey. But swing dancing is such a big part of our lives that I thought I would go ahead and post these on here. Every so often at a swing dance we will have something called a jam circle. Basically everyone gathers around in a circle while random couples move into the center to show off their dance moves. It's neat to see what everyone can do.

Here's a short clip of a flip. Not great. But you get the idea.

This dance is known as Balboa. Tons of fun!

Casey's "play pen"...

Casey does have a little of his mama in him! Look at that curl!

Our brave boy... a little too brave!!!

Lunch

Here are a couple of pictures from lunch time. Yummy!

Oscar

So this has nothing to do with Casey. I just thought it was amusing.

Anatomy of a cat yawn.

Yet another park...

So it seems that we just can't stay away from the parks!! We went to Country Park yesterday to feed the ducks and play on the playground. While at the park Casey decided to assert some of his new found independence. I knew which way I wanted to walk ...while Casey on the other hand had a different direction in mind. Needless to say I carried a screaming baby through part of the park. When we finally made it over to the ducks Casey enjoyed throwing a few pieces of bread out to them. He also kept a few pieces for himself to eat. :)

Casey got into this pose all by himself. He's turning into a ham!!

Deep in thought...

So this is how handy Casey's mom is... On the way to the park Casey took off his black socks. When we finally got there and parked the car the socks were missing. I was able to recover one of his socks but the second one was no where to be found! However, during my search I was able to find one grey sock. So I did the only thing I could think of. I have to admit I was a little embarrassed. I was constantly trying to pull down Casey's pant legs so the socks wouldn't show! Oh well.

Peek-a-boo!!!

A trip to the park

A couple of weekends ago we took Casey to the park. This was the first time he was able to get up and move around on his own. He had SO MUCH fun getting out and exploring!

Speak softly and carry a big stick.

His legs do look a bit awkward in this picture... but rest assured...my son is not Gumby...he's simply twisted around.

We have a toddler!!!

Casey loved the rocks.

I mean LOVED the rocks!!!

This video is TOO funny!!! He's a dancing machine!

Park pictures

I found a few more pictures from the park!!!

Hanging with Daddy

I know this is a blurry picture but I thought it was cute. Casey loves his daddy.

A day at the park

On one of the first nice days of '09 we bundled up Casey and headed to the park. Our day at the park was really only about 20 minutes. As timing would have it Casey got really tired on the way there. However once we arrived he perked up a little. Once he starts to get this walking thing down we are really going to enjoy the park.

This was one sleepy boy. (He's had his first little hair trim since this picture was taken!)

Enjoying a cracker on the ride home.
